f_lightning2001 Junior Techie Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: Kansas Posts: 47	mbr virus? When I have the virus protection mode enabled in my bios I get the following error: Boot sector write!!! Possible virus continue (Y/N)? If I disable it it seems to run just fine, if I don't and just hit y it goes on like nothing is wrong. It has never done this to me before. It just started after testing windows 7 and went to reinstall xp. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? Whatever it may be.

I've never seen it before.

You can try updating the BIOS to see if this a system error
