Default LUALL.exe

Hello

I have Symantec Norton Antivirus 2006

i realize it may not be the best but i am not considering to change so no need to simply tell me to get a better one...

my problem is that sometimes that Live Update has finished updating it asks to restart... and gives me NO option NOT to restart, see my computer is a server and needs constant uptime and i restart max every month and the **** restart window buggs me...

thing is i am administrator, computer owner and all such and when i try to terminate the LUALL.exe process i get an access denied message

when i try taskkill i get this

Code:
C:\>TASKKILL /F /IM LUALL.exe /T
ERROR: The process with PID 11012 child of PID 1288 could not be terminated.
Reason: Access is denied.

C:\>TASKKILL /F /PID 1288 /T
ERROR: The process "1288" not found.
In local security Policy i have all possible rights... including debug programs and such...

Norton Antivirus has to restart the system or at least restart the program to complete all updates. You have to restart with practically any antivirus so it can apply the updates.

Never tried Norton but i'm sure you should be able to turn live updates off.

If you can't then change to a different anti virus and you
can..
Choose when you get your updates.
Better detection rates.
No more Norton resource hog.

So you can't just end it in task manager?
If not, use HijackThis and go into misc tools and open process manager. Kill it from there.

Alternatly you could update when you want/possible to restart your PC.

Otherwise just don't update.
