my computer's pretty old now ... pentinum 4 and 512mb of RAM (DDR)

basically, i'm looking for a an anti-virus program that will run in the background without affecting performance too much. at the moment, i am using "AntiVir Guard" but i was wondering if there was anything else worth considering

thanks!

If your interested in paying for anti-virus, i'd suggest Kaspersky AntiVirus.

If not, then Avast! is also a good choice.

AVG is really low on resources, if you choose the "performance" setting during the installation. It's a very basic AntiVirus, but it definitely gets the job done...

Nod32- You will not notice it.

Also what about upgrading your memory to 1gb. Memory is cheap nowadays.
