Default i found a folder is it necessary?

i found a folder labeled "temp" and its got A LOT of files in it
can i delete them or do i need them

they r just "temporary" files, they will be deleted automatically. It can do some damage if you try and delete them, especially if your computer has just stored some vital info in the temp folder! in other words, i wouldnt risk it

use ccleaner and cleanup! to delete those files

When you install a program, your cp makes a temp file, deleate all data within the temp foldors, it will not affect your currently instaled programs; they are not needed, windows xp is pretty redundant.
