Question how to uninstall norton

how could i uninstall norton?

if i uninstall it what will happen with the viruses it caught before?

control panel, add/remove programs, remove norton

it will delete the viruses

It usually asks if you want to keep or delete the quarantined files.

BTW - Good job on removing Norton, your PC will thank you, by being much faster.

If you need an antivirus, i recommend either Avast or CA Etrust.

This is going to start a bit or arguments with other members, but my suggestions is Avast, it monitors everything from P2P to Internet to Viruses, it's completely free, and it's a pretty small footprint (doesnt use alot of memory)

Agreed Avast is a good free A/V. Another you might like to hear about is Bitdefender.
