Default help!!! browser hangs whenever new window is opened....

help!!! had this problem for quite some time... I cannot access the internet using the IE browser directly. When the program is executed, it will just hang. The only way is to go to other folders and change the link at the address bar.

then, whenever there's a pop-up or a new window is opened, the browser will hang. after some tme, the new window will pop out (but you can never see its contents) and you will have to close it first before the original window can be used (it will not be responding otherwise)..

any cures?!?! with this problem, i cannot access alot of info which WILL open in a new window...

thanks in advance...

feel free to clarify if i didn't state my problem clearly enough....

I've had this problem and it forced me to move to Firefox, which in my mind is a lot better than IE. Anyway, if you want to stay with IE, I think your problem is spyware related. Try doing a Spybot search and see how your computer is holding up in that category.

It could also be a little more serious and be a virus. Whatever virus protection you have (which you should have) make sure all the definitions are up to date and that you've run a full system scan.

Check back when you've done a Spybot:Search and Destroy and Full-System Scan with your virus protector.
