Government Warns Public on Fake E-Mails

Are you ready for this? The FTC is warning people about fake e-mails that look like they are coming from the FTC but they are actually a phishing scam. It doesn’t say “how” the FTC is warning people…they are probably sending e-mails out to let people know. You gotta admit, that’d be just like the government.

Identity thieves have sent thousands of bogus e-mails purporting to be from the Federal Trade Commission _ as well as the Internal Revenue Service and Justice Department _ in an attempt to trick consumers into divulging personal financial information.
