a couple days ago i got a virus and had to use system restore to take care of it, but i don't think it took care of it all.

For some odd reason i cant connect to google, i can connect to some pages in google like images and some google help pages, but not much else.

does anyone have any clue why i cant connect?

Have you tried other versions of Google, such as google.ca, google.co.uk, etc?

i ran spybot and the virus redirected alot of sites, works now! i couldnt live w/o google

you can make anything faster in firefox using pipeline
about:config
[type in pipe]
make them true and turn the value to 100
