Default Good Antivirus plz

I was wondering, whats the best antivirus you can find? I have Norton, but i was told Norton is crap. And that it almost never detects anything, and if it does it wont fix it. Any ideas?

Yes, norton is crappy. Its slow at loading, its a resource hog, scanning is slow, and updates are huge.

Here are a few alternatives:

Avast

AVG

AntiVir

ClamWin Free

If you want a free anti virus programme then id go with AVG, ive had it for a good 4-5months now and my pc is spot on, and whats more it doesnt slow the pc down like norton and even when your doing a full system scan it doesnt slow your pc to the point where doing other tasks is impossible!
Many other people love AVG aswell, just scan the virus section of this site and you will see!

The best antivirus is NOD32, but you have to pay for it.

It uses the least resources, and its very easy to use.

NOD32 or KasperSky are very good to invest in try them, The NOD32's interface is really easy to get along with and easy to use

Go to www.zonelabs.com and download the trial versian of zone alarm security suit. it comes with anti spyware anti virus and its a good firewall.

Then all you need is a serial key, im sure you can work out where to get one.
