Default Free AVG

I am looking for a free virus protection I was thinking Free AVG I was wondering if anyone had worked with it and new about any issues or if you have any suggestions.

Yes.. AVG is good..
IF you know what ur doing while browsing...

AVG was giving away pro licensed software for a year...??

I installed free avg on a PC with Sophos and AVG picked up viruses Sophos did not and Sophos was up to date. Not a big Sophos fan anymore.

That just goes to show you and everyone else that you DO need more than 1 scanner to pick up all or most trojans, viruses, sypware, etc

What happens when 1 scanner says it is and 1 scanner says it isnt and the machine basically freezes since it doesnt know which AV applicaiton takes precidence?

To me this jsut shows that AVG is better than Sophos.
