Default fonts/-/ folder got filled, dang limewire.

TLR version at bottom

I knew i shouldnt have done it, 20$ to buy the game, but it was only 100 mg, thats like, 200 dollars a gig, and, I couldnt justify it. limewire d.l'd it, or so I thought (thankfully I had the brains to do it on my old laptop, not my gaming rig) Karma bit me, and now I have a virus scan saying Windows/Font/-/***.zip (times about 3000) ***=big name movies/video games.

(Deleted limewire promptly so I couldnt spread this thing)

I go to my fonts folder, and I cant find any file named -

Ive run Avast Avg Spyware terminator.... and I think that is it, and cannot come up with anything in the fonts folder, even though they scan them.

My theory is these files were supposed to be sent out to other computers through limewire, and are probably useless as the virus has been caught by one of the scanners (they all come up clean now, even after searching those files) but I still want to remove those invisies from my computer.

-------------------------
TLR:
How do I get rid of files from my font/-/ folder, when I cant see it (they arent just "Hidden" either)

Have you run a Virus scan at all?

You expect to DL a game through Limewire? No wonder your computer has a virus.

again, I think one of the multitude of virus protection softwares i used got rid of the virus area of the problem, now I just need to get rid of this Fonts/-/ file that is wasting 3 gigs of my harddrive (leftovers of the virus that was on my computer)

but seriously, much love for the help.. this thing is killing me.

OKAY!

so, update, went into MSDOS mode, well command prompt,

Dir C:\windows\fonts showed up regular,

chdir C:\windows\fonts\_ ALSO showed up...

Chdir C:\

del C:\windows\fonts\_ deleted all the files in there, so far they have not recreated themselves!

but, i still have C:\windows\fonts\_ ..... any way to get rid of a file I cannot see, and that does not show up in my fonts dir? I know its a file, i know where it is, but it doesnt even show up in msdos

also, safe to say that the virus is gone based on my hijack this log?

I did a quick scan of it myself (based on my basic programming knowledge and I didnt see anything to weird, that and Ive allways kept my computer pretty clean)

please do not rate my virus detection software, Ive already gotten every virus removal software that you guys have recommended, and none of them have found anything (I like to come prepared)... but if you see something that absolutely must go, please tell me?

Drew

thanks for the inspiration forumboard!
