Default File wont delete

I have a friend that has a file he got through Limewire, i think he told me it was a vid clip or somthing. but he found it to be a corrupt file and now he cant delete it. any tips on how to remove a file that wont let you manually delete it? he has norton, adaware and spybotS&D.

has he tried to delete via the command prompt?

go to the folder location of the file. lets say it is in C:\spam\crap\ when you go to comannd prompt type cd c:\ which will take you to c:\ then type cd spam which will take you to the spam folder. keep going with cd commands until you get to the folder location of the file. then type del filename.ext if it is stupidbs.exe type del stupidbs.exe or you could type del c:\spam\crap\stupidbs.exe

MoveOnBoot download and review - move or delete files on next reboot from SnapFiles

close the program first and delete it manual. If still not deleted, restart your pc and delete it after

Or try deleting it in safe mode. Maybe it'll work

Try using the /F argument with the del command to force deletion.

e.g. del /F C:\Dir1\Dir2\File.exe
