| Hi, 3 days back I was surfing the net, suddenly norton alerted me that my computer is infected with 'downloader' virus and norton unable to fix it. From then, computer got very slow. I tried to backup my imp. files to CD, but freezing often. I ran norton, TDS software to detect the virus. nothing. I searched the internet. Downloader.Trojan - Symantec.com Its like greek to me. Is there any software that detects and removes 'downloader' virus. thanks much! |

| ok, your computer is infected with an ad-ware program called Gator. first, download this - Download CCleaner 1.39.502 - filehippo.com install the program then run the cleaner. it will remove any temporary data stored in your machine. this can help increase the speed of your connection. next, download this - SUPERAntiSpyware.com - Downloading File install the program, then update its database. perform a full system scan. then when your finished, post a new log. | whats freezing? try starting your computer in safe mode. this is done by pressing the F8 repeatedly as your computer is booting. one more thing, it looks your running a Dell. another option could be to update your dell support software to version 3.2 which includes "health scans" and i have find them to be fairly through...
