Critical Zero-Day PDF Bug

A critical zero-day PDF bug has been discovered. The vulnerability can lead to Windows based PCs being completely taken over without the owner ever knowing. All you Adobe Acrobat users should be extra careful with PDF files until a fix/patch has been issued.

"All it takes is to open a [maliciously rigged] PDF document or stumble across a page which embeds one," said researcher Petko D. Petkov. His discovery of a slew of serious vulnerabilities in meta media files: a QuickTime flaw that can be used to hijack Firefox and Internet Explorer and a simple method of loading HTML files into Windows Media Player files
