Unhappy Crazy black box

Whenever I try to go to wikipedia.com, access my school homepage or watch videos on the internet (besides youtube), etc., I get this strange 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch little box in the upper left corner of my screen. The top left portion is black and the bottom right corner is gray. What is the deal with this? I'm assuming it's a virus.

An image of this happening in firefox:

In IE the browsing screen just turns white with no box. It's really quite debilitating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The 'something' finder box? - Can you make out the word above 'Finder'? As i cannot see it from the image too well.

The link above has an arrow pointing to the location of the box... it's quite little.

This link is what happens when I right click on the box.

Roger that Mak, remove the Torrent Finder toolbar. Is it in your Add/Remove Programs?

No, it isn't in the add/remove programs list. There doesn't seem to be any way to delete addons through firefox either.

I spoke to my neighbor in my apartment complex and he is having the same problem (the internet is through the apartment complex) indicating that it is probably not some random virus that I downloaded.

Cool... removed the addons but still no change in regard to the multiple web pages I can no longer access.

I think some of you might be a bit confused about what I am actually referring to... here is a closeup.

Here is the updated normal size.

Moreover, I ran Mcafee virus scan and found no evidence of a virus... any suggestions?
