Default BSOD error,please help!

Hello, The other day I noticed that my internet was way slow, took forever to load any page. I started looking around in my computer and found that every program in startup was running ( I usually only have ten or eleven), scanning down the list I found error checker in the list which I didnt download. So I found it in add/remove programs and got rid of it, also did find in regestry and deleted all files associated with it. All was good until last night when my daughter got an critical error which was BAD_POOL_CALLER. This morning when I got up I had a BSOD error that read:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
if this is the first time youve seen this stop error screen restart your computer. if this screen appears again follow these steps. check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. if this is a new installation ask your your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.If problems continue disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode do so.
Technical Information:
STOP:0x0000000A (0x00000000,0x00000002,0x00000000,0x8051A786

I ran through Osirises Guide just day before yesterday with no results and I havent added any hardware for quite some time. I dont use this computer for any online banking or bill paying etc..just games, surfing, music etc..
Im almost ready to burn a dvd with newer stuff I want to save and reformatting.Thoughts?

Doesn't sound like malware.

Go over to the hardware forums. They'll check you out there.
