Depends on how much your willing to spend. Spybot S & D and adaware are some good freeware apps.

i use (all free)

spyware blaster
spyware guard
(to protect)

and

spybot
ad-aware
(to remove)

i use these and im good to go

use could also use zone alarm firewall to help prevent spyware

Cool utilities


I have used AVG Free Edition and love it. However, you do need to twick it to work right. Also, I have used Spysweeper for almost a year and there new verison 4.0 is great. It doesn't take up as much resources. When my subscription expires, I am going to give CounterSpy a chance. I have read a lot of great reviews on it. I have been using Mozilla Firefox for six months and i have been adaware and spyware free. For an anti-trojan suite, I have used trojan hunter. I haven't, but i have used it to remove left over trojans from my coworkers infested computers. It finds a least three or four and this is after running scans with my other programs. Of course, i use hijack this

i have used spy bot and adaware when i had a huge problem with my comp so i got a program called XOFTSPY its the best spyware cleaner i have used and wont change back but i make sure i still have spybot and ad aware just in case.
