Default AOL instant messenger virus/worm??

My brother and I use AIM quite frequently. Last week he was having some problems with his, namely, it opened but shut down immediately upon sending or receiving an instant message. There was an error message that popped up, of course I didnt take note of it to post here (sorry) but I did google it and found a lot of people having the same exact problem throughout the month of February (dates in the forums). I ran his Norton and it found a trojan. I deleted manually since Norton wouldn't do it. After a reboot, another trojan appeared in a scan with similar filename in the Windows folder.

Got rid of that, applied an AIM "fixer" that supposedly cleans and has you redownload a slightly older version of AIM instead of the newest version. I also ran spybot, adaware, and hijackthis and fixed the problems found. AIM works now, but something weird happened earlier tonight. . .

My brother was online in my buddy list and when I came back from being away, he immediately im'd me. Now, since it didn't sound like him at all (and no one has access to his aim sn either), I called his cell and he was working on a group project at the library. I attached some pix of the quick conversation. Could this be the doings of a worm/trojan or virus that I havent found on his pc yet? I told him to quit using IE. Most of these and other problems started when he began using an MSN browser.

Another quick thing... just immediately before his IM window popped up on my screen, I saw a black command prompt-like screen with some words and stuff I couldnt read fast enough. NEVER saw that before.... Hope this didnt put anything bad on my pc... check it out

Thanks!

That definatley sounds like u have a hacker on your hands... From this point on, there really isnt n e thing u can do..... However, i would recommend using a different anti virus, spyware/adware(i use spybot s&d, works awesome).. The best u can hope for is that some other program picks something up, and u can then delete it.
