Default Will this make Firefox faster?

FF is running kinda slow lately, I don't think it's related to the new version cause I was having problems with the 2nd version aswell. So... what if I install it to my second hard drive? Will that speed it up any? Thanks

Oh yea, right now FF is using 91,432 K of mem, it that normal?

no, if by slow you mean loading pages, and downloading, that has nothing to do with you hdd, it is your internet connection. Do u have firefox 3? If so download nightly tester tools, restart firefox, then download the fasterfox extension, force install it and that will speed things up a bit.

Hello,

Along with Luke's suggestion to run Fasterfox i would also suggest Firefox Ultimate Optimizer.

Firefox Ultimate Optimizer - Download

That will reduce the amount of memory being used by Firefox. As for the speed. Fasterfox is the best way to make pages load faster.

Cheers,
Mak

Big Thanks to Trotter for the HDD. Big Thanks to CarnageX for the Video Card. Big thanks to Saxon, without you none of this would be possible.

Did you try Fasterfox, like Luke suggested? It will make a difference.

Have you looked for any potential virus/spyware on your computer?

Maybe post a hijackthislog in the Virus and spyware section.
