Default Strange torrent problem

I have my static ip, port forwarded and everything set but my torrents download very slow...

For example, one particular torrent had over 400 seeders and 1000 peers but I only connect to 4 seeds and 20 peers. I tested my internet speed and it was normal. These torrents are downloading at like max 10kbps and uploading at 30kbps. I tested another torrent openoffice or something and it shot upto over 450kbps download in a couple of minutes with 10 seeds.

I'm using utorrent, this is the weirdest thing I've come across. I even changed my port, reset the modem, restarted comp, only download 1 torrent at a time, tried limiting and unlimiting upload speeds. To top it off, when downloading a torrent at snail speeds my browsing becomes extremely slow as if I am maxing out but I know it is no where near. I have ADSL+2 and torrents used to download at 200-600kbps and upload at 80-100kbps.

It sucks downloading slow, feels like I'm in the 56k stoneage.

Any ideas of what I might have to tweak?

The new cap just started, downloads reset so that's not a problem.
Maybe it could be something in utorrent settings, eversince they updated to 1.8 it's screwed.

I haven't had any problems with mine, uTorrent or Ahazerus either one. Have you opened up your firewall? If I forget to give 'em permission it really kills my speed.

I don't use a firewall, I'll try out another client just to see if it's utorrent or another headache.

I am having a very similar problem. I tried torrenting and I actually torrented something just as a test and it had over 1,000 seeds and It was showing up as 0(0) in my utorrent.

I also have I have my static ip, port forwarded. I'll be following this thread and If I find out anything I will let you know, and if you find out the fix I'll try it out.

Who is your ISP btw?
