Setting up a hotmail account on thunderbird

how do i set up my hotmail account on Mozilla Thunderbird v2??

I believe it's pretty easy. When you open the program for the first time it goes through and asks you what you want to do and sets everything up for you...I don't know if hotmail works inside the email program...because it is its own email program in itself, but it might. Just follow the instructions and you should be good. TB is easy to use and a good emailer.

go to hotmail.com and after you log in see if there is a setting to turn on pop mail and if there is it should also have directions to setup in your favorite email app

At least a few years ago Hotmail would only work with Outlook/Outlook Express. Maybe they have added pop3 support, but for some reason I doubt it.
