Default Proxy problems?

I want to hide what websites i am going to at school because they say if i'm using the internet for "non academic" reasons they will ban my mac address. I have already found a mac address changer, but its a trial version. It called hide my mac address. And then i installed foxy proxy but i tried it at home and I looked at the log on my router and I can still see all the websites i visited. I though a proxy was supposed to hide stuff like tech-forums.net/pc so it shows up as something else......
