On the 28th when I move I will be upgrading from a 22kbps dialup connection that we have had for about 15 years now to a 1.5Mbps wireless connection. Does anyone here use a type of connection like this and can tell me if they are any good for gaming.

1.5mb is fine for gaming. I had DSL for the longest time back at my old apt.

Heh, i had 1.5mb dsl for 3 years, then my apt burned down and i had to move back to my parents' house where we had 28k dial up. Hated it so much. Now i have 6mb cable, dial up should be outlawed.

it s really amazing once you think of it. I can remember when we first got internet we were one of the first people in the neighborhood to get internet period and everyone was like WOW must be amazing. and that was back in the days when we had a 286 with windows 2.0 and professionals had to come to our house to set it up lol and at that point it only ran about 11kbps.

You are in for a major treat. I remember when I moved from dialup to DSL and a 1.5 connection. Night and day, I tell ya, night and day.

If you get into any online games you will have to let us know so we can game with you now.

I still and can live without broadband, 56k....which translates to about 5k transfers

Stupid websense...blocks imageshack. Although i should have known better considering. But of all the reasons "personal network and data storage".
