Quote:
Put this on the forums and see what Osiris or Mac says

got netgear router WGT624 that wont connect to the internet
-it broadcasts a network
-it was hard booted
-it was reset
-firmware was updated
-isp dont know whats wrong
-it works on friends internet
-switched modem still nada
-switched computers... nothing
-changed dynamic to static and put in ip settings from cmd ipconfig
-tried another linksys router with all steps b4 and still nothing

What else can i try?!?!?!
He has internet connection directly through his modem and he's tried a different modem. I believe his os is xp and 7. 2pc's. The last time I had a similar problem, I sledgehammered my linksys54g and bought new modem and router - same name brand.

Well since he has replaced every part BUT the router, it would only be adviseable to replace that and see if the new router works. could simply be a dead unit.
