Default My router got hacked....

i like games like RappelZ Epic3 and they are big downloads and "other downloads" from some sites... if u know what i mean...... and i usually leave it in the night for it to download, and next thing i know is my router got hacked and i reset firmware to defaults and such, usually we notice its messed up because my dad's laptop won't connect to the network....... so what i had to do is reinstall my OS and stuff, any reason why this is happening? also i have a belkin wireless G router, or any new routers that are actually good for leaving my PC on in the night, cuz i don't want my PC hacked ever again....

Its amazing that there are hackers where you live. Most of the time, they just mess with their own things. Where I live, its mostly "uneducated" Asians who don't even put a wireless key on their router, ca-ching: free internet.

I would print porn if I knew it would come out the school printer.

Someone SERIOUSLY hacked your router? Wow...that's weird, and ****ed up...seriously...what kind of ******* does that?

I've seen linux distros based entirely on the concept of hacking wireless networks...so I'm not sure if it can really be stopped or not...

I've heard that the people at MS removed the security of their network around the MS HQ (don't remember where) because they found people were breaking in too often...

I don't have any password or security and no one does anything. Of course, I live in the country and know all the people within that distance- 2. heh. I really couldn't care less if they tapped into my network as long as they're not running an effing server. I actually want to be a member of FON, but that router is overpriced.

Why would you wanna print it out when it's available right on your screen/easily hidable =P. You'd have to go super-spy/crumple it up and eat it if you wanted to hide that on an unexpected visitor xD.
