| Internet Troubles Ok, my internet has been acting up all day. The internet itself seems to be fine.
I can: COD4, msn, vent, TS, etc but the only website which seems to be working is TF, now this happens on every pc in my house. Say I try and go on BBC - Homepage or even google pretty much any site bar this one appears to take ages to load and then all of a sudden it says connection to server timed out or whatever. This is true with firefox, IE7 and safari. It's genuinely peeing me off as I just don't know what to do.
An option I suppose would be to wait till tomorow or is there an easy fix?
I've restored + reset router and nothing has changed..
Any one got a suggestion?

| Re: Internet Troubles highly strange, sometimes the processes continue running after closing and it messes with your firefox, but since its all the computers not so sure, also try cleaning temp internet files and cache files with something such as CCleaner. Thats about all i can think of. |

| Re: Internet Troubles Could just be heavy usage for the ISP around you. Remember DSL and Cable are shared lines. Only Fibre is a dedicated line. So if many people around you are on DSL then you are sharing the main line back to the Exchange Server with them.
Try a bit alter on when many people go to bed and see if the connection gets any better.

| Re: Internet Troubles It's got slightly better, I'm not sure whether it's just me being hopeful, it's now 23:55 here and I doubt internet usage would be high in my area as a majority of the people in my village are pensioners
I'm also having problems with firefox 3 crashing a lot so I'm gonna go back to 2.

| Re: Internet Troubles UPDATE: Ok still does it. I contacted Tiscali who are my ISP and they did nothing and said that the line was fine..which I don't think it is. What can I do before I get a new ISP?

| Re: Internet Troubles The only thing you can do is check your setup. REset your router and modem. Make sure they are working properly. Check to make sure your hardware isnt limiting you. Other than that there isnt much else you can do.
