Hello,

This is telling me that one of yoru add-ons is causing IR to crash. Disable them all and then one by one enable them till you find the guilty add on and remove it.

Open IE and from there go under Tools>Manage Add-Ons>Enable or Disable Add-Ons.

There you can do this from.

Cheers,
Mak

You have a guilty add-on . Follow what Mak said, then reinstall the culprit

Hello Gilinator,

How about you answer the question and stop trying to force users to use something they dont want to use? Maybe just maybe that will be more helpful than trying to force people to use something they dont want to use.

Cheers,
Mak

I'm sorry but how is that forcing someone to use something they apparently don't want to use? How do you know he doesn't want to use it?

OK, I'll admit it was very plainly put but no need to have a go.

Wow things round here have got a lot stricter since I last came.

Sure have, Mak's on the team now
He will use the browser he wishes to use, some people don't like Firefox (including myself) becuase of all the add-ons that come with it. Some however like this and think that browsers without add-on features are rubbish. Others prefer Opera becuase they find it more stable and like its "out of the box" setup.
It's all down to personal taste. In future you could reccomend Firefox as an alternate browser choice and provide a download link.
This then allows the user to find out more infomation if they wish / or read the other replies and attempt to fix the existing problem.

Cheers,

~ Tkey

Hello,

No. Not really. But you are making suggestion that you do not know will be of help. As you said how do you know he wnats to use it? This is not his PC and he is fixing it for someone else. So making the suggest serves absolutely no purpose.

I am trying to help people resolve their issue. Not work around them by installing something that they possibly do not want. Everyone knows of firefox and if not there is a whole topic with just about every Windows Web Browser listed with links to their site with easy access for them.

I am sick of topics about IE having Get Firefox blasted in every other post. Help answer their question or dont post. It is really that simple. No need to tell people to get Firefox. If they wanted it they would have it. They want IE let them use IE. It is their choice. You say i am being strict i say i am finally trying to make the browser area freindly for users who dont want to hear "Get Firefox" when they ask a IE question. You do not see me say Get Opera everytime. It is common curtosity and respect to let people use what they want. Not to try and bait them into using something else that they might not want to use or might not like.

So call me strict. Fine. But at least i am fair and make this known in a lot fo threads. If i even joke about using the Get Opera term i almost always say somethign dumb afterwards for people to know i was joking.

So please out of curtosity and respect for the users answer their question. That is all i ask.
