| Re: Internet Explorer 8 Because they are listed twice in your Favorites. They would not be there for any other reason.
You can check this out 1 of 2 ways.
1. Open IE and click Favoprites>Organize Favorites
2. Go to C:\Documents & Settings\<username>\Favorites for XP
C:\Users\<username>\Favorites for Vista and Win7
There you will see your favorites listed. There you can add more if you created a shortcut to the webpage on your desktop, you can remove favorites, you can modify the layout by moving some to the Link bar or removing them from there. that is the main source for the IE Favorites. You can just copy this folder if you wish. then just copy it back.

| Re: Internet Explorer 8 The way i described is the only way to import or export your favorites via the browser.
I dont understand why you are having a hard time. Either use the method i described to export the bookmarks to a file and then transfer that file to a USB Thumb Stick or burn to a DVD with Nero or some other application, or used what i said above.
Go to the location of the Favorites and copy them directly to a USB Thumb Drive or burn them to DVD with a program.
There is no way for a browser to export to a DVD. Not even IE has that option built in. You have to export it to a file from there you can do what ever you want with it.

| Re: Internet Explorer 8 I have been using it since it was added. The point is that you cant just export to a media device. So just export to a file and then use that file and burn it to a DVD. It is 1 extra step but nets you the same results.

| Re: Internet Explorer 8 What do you mean wipe and reload? Do you mean a format and reinstall? If so then yes. A format will get rid of EVERYTHING on your hard drive. So you must back it up first.
