i dont see any forward settings in aol mail so i did it through gmail but i have one problem its not updating instantly like i get mail at aol but its not in my gmail i have to wait till they check and its not checking often

There is no options within Gmail to have it check every minute for new mail messages. The only thing i see is the option to force it to check the mail via the settings menu.

Did you use this to setup Gmail to import you mail? With the check POP3 Mail settings?

i went into the gmail settings and i hit add pop3 account and thats where i added my aol

when you put your name in a window comes up with a dragdown with the option to choose either

pop.aol.com
imap.aol.com
smtp.aol.com

a few other options and different ports

Has GMail retrieved any mail from your AOL account? If so as i stated previously there is no option to force GMail to check more often than it does. You just have to force it to check.

yea it retrieves it just not that fast

Sorry but there is nothing any of us can do to help. Can always use the POP3 Settings and download your AOL Mail right to your PC.
