FTP server dont work.

hey all,
i set up an ftp server with serv-u to let ppl download some stuff from me... but when i made an account, and i asked some ppl to log in with username and pass.... it didnt work.
tho when i try to log in at it.... it just works.
im not using a firewall orso.

somebody know what could be wrong?

you are not giving people an internal IP address are you?

oh yea srry the error message,
i asked what did it say.... and he replied: Nothing just timed out.

hmm yea but only to some friends..... how else could i do it then?

Are you sure you have a FTP client installed on the computer you are trying to use? If not you will just get that "connection timed out" error....
