Default FireFox problem

WHYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!
GAH!!!

Every month or so my bookmarks, cookies, quick links, authenticated sessions, passwords get deleted!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT IS HAPPENING WHEN I NEED TO BACK UP BOOKMARKS!!!!

This is getting ridiculous! Even when i backup my bookmarks (which is still only a small part of what FireFox decided to delete), it refuses to easily find them. I can see the backup file in My Documents!!!!!!! I SEE YOU BIATCH!! BUT noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, your only visible to FireFox when i move you directly to the C drive even though im looking in My Docs.

HELPPPP MEEEEEEEEE. PASSWORDS GOOOONEEEEEEEEE.

Ya got me, as I have no idea. I have never had that problem with Firefox. I do need to back up my cookies and passwords, though.

I just remember the passwords to the sites I visit.
I sometimes use FF to remember the passwords, but that's more just so I have to type less sometimes.

Besides always getting Firefox to remember my passwords so I don't have to type, I always only ever use one password for everything. I know it's not secure to do it, however I've never had a problem with it. Plus it saves me having to have a list somewhere of every login I have.

Have you tried reinstalling? How about upgrading to FF3?

I use a few different passwords for most sites. I use a completely different password for my bank account though.

This one password I have for my important stuff (mostly concerning money) is such a mess of numbers and letters that I bet if you just punched the keyboard you would have a higher probability of getting it correct then trying to guess it. LOL.

But direland, for things you care about and that you would rather NOT have stolen, you should have a diffrent password just for them, with some kind of combination of letters and numbers.

for example, you rather not have someone get into your pay pal account I bet. So make sure that has a nice hard to get password.

I've lost 2 gmail accounts though because of me forgetting my darn password.... AHH!

Oh yea my password is quite a mess, hence why I only use the one so I can remember it.
