Default Increase of Resources on Shared Plans on Serverpoint.com Plans

You may see that Serverpoint.com has significantly increased the number of resources on their shared plans, does it mean they have added a number of servers to those they had?

Using your shared hosting account's storage space for files that are not linked from your web site, hosted in our servers, is a violation of our policies. Providing mirrors of files, specially large media files, for other web sites is also a violation of our policies.
AUP's like these make me wonder why anyone would consider doing business with them. You are a paying customer, you should get what you pay for. As long as you are not overtaxing the CPU, consuming too much memory, or doing anything illegal- a host should have no problem with you using as much or as little of your disk space and bandwidth as you want. Terms like these clearly demonstrate that they cannot deliver what they promise. There is no other reason for terms like these to be there.

ServerPoint.com has updated their shared web hosting plans to make the life of their clients easier and more profitable IMO.

I think that Serverpoint.com follow the changes around the world. Web sites become more huge and the company which increase number of features or features itself - good company. And as far as I know Serverpoint.com is one of the best providers. So you have nothing to afraid of

I see your point, but Serverpoint.com isn't the only host who doesn't allow hosting files on the accounts, especially files that are not linked to your web site . I guess this is due to the bandwidth consumption.
Do you know know any established host who allows?

Who cares about bandwidth consumption, it's your bandwidth, you should be able to use it any way you want.

Why is this thread full of a myriad of ad-like posts for this host from users under 50 posts?
