Default Home hosting question

Ok.. I am working on hosting a site from a server at my home. I have a static IP (24.129.128.186) and I am running IIS 6 on win2k3 enterprise server.

I'm trying to set up my DNS. My domain registrar is wierd and I can't them to set up the DNS properly so I am going to host the nameserver myself.

I have DNS setup on the server and the zone file is as follows..

------
ornhalla.com
(same as parent) SOA [24]ornhalla-aiko09.ornhalla.local
(same as parent) NS ornhalla-aiko09.ornhalla.local
(same as parent) NS ornhalla-aiko09.ornhalla.com
(same as parent) Host(A) 24.129.128.186
* Host(A) 24.129.128.186
www Host(A) 24.129.128.186
ornhalla-aiko09 Host(A) 24.129.128.186

--------

Ok.. here's the problem... I can access the site localy from both systems that I have physically attached to the server, but I can't access it from a remote location.

Here is a link to the info that I got from dnsreport.com
DNSREPORT RESULTS

I have recently changed the nameserver address at my domain registrar so I'm not sure if some of these problems are related to the DNS not having propogated completely yet.

Could someone give me a hand with ensuring that DNS is set up properly on my system so that it will broadcast the http information?

I would greatly appreciate it..

Thank you,
Alexander

Yeah.. I finally got it all working.. my biggest problem was the fact that I had 2k3s firewall activated and didn't know it..

chalk one up for experience..

Thanks guys,
Alexander

If you can do this, you can have your local dns address to your isp, so it will propagate...
