| hi, out of interest, what do you think is a good free web hosting site. i dont need much space and i dont need much professtional tools as i am designing it in composer (it comes with netscape and mozilla). Now i know there are a lot of cheap (as 5-10 AUD a month) hosting which offer heaps of features but phisically it is impossible because i cannot get hold of a credit card and i feel that a free one will be plenty for me at the moment. any opinions are welcome thanks wayne

| Monster Techie | Freewebs IS good for the most part, but theirs allot of things about it you're not going to like... 1. you cannot store more than 50 items on their server, 2. you'll have to upload ONE FILE AT A TIME, 3. They DO NOT INDICATE A BANDWITH LIMIT, so you'll never know when you might run out, 4. Freewebs might likeley be one of those sites that Charges you, if the number if people that visits your site exeeds your 'bandwith' limit. The SICK part about all of this, is that all of this can be avoided, if you pay for premium service, which is $12.99 A MONTH!! I should know... I got rheeled in myself: http://www.freewebs.com/atiragepro/ ![]()

| Unfortunately, a lot of ISPs get pretty cut if you eat through their bandwidth by hosting a webpage on your PC. Then there are speed issues, set up problems etc. So it's not always feasible. There's a directory of free web hosts that you may find helpful at: http://www.free-webhosts.com/ Hope that helps a little. |
