Default a forum on my website!

Does anyone know how i can create a forum on my website? a forum that has members and avators?

Many hosting companies offer free boards with things like you asked for.

The one that I have used very successfully on both sites that I maintain is phpbb. It can be found, convieniently enough, at phpbb.com.

They have a rather good support and knowledge database that has been a godsend a few times and it all works with software that is open source so you don't have to pay alot to add it to your site.

However, this info is all based on the assumption that your hosting company will allow you to have a mysql database set up (alot don't) and will allow a message board (some don't). I would start with contacting your site host and finding out if there is something that they offer internally, and if not, do they support mysql and php4. All things being equal, and those two programs being supported, you shouldn't have a big problem installing phpbb..
