| when setup apache they require a dns and a mail sever, if i don't have either of them, i just want to publish via my own ip, what should i put there and how can i set it so that others can connect to my web via my ip? do i have to have a isp that provides a static ip atless? or, got to have a business dsl atless? |

| In theory, it's no different from hosting off a broadband connection, just much slower. Just make sure that when asked to enter your ip , enter the modem's ip, not your network card (assuming your computer dials directly into your isp).
