|  Re: Torrents It hasn't violated the rules. If it had, it would have been closed. Brinson is right regarding the letter of the rules, but not the spirit. Not all torrents are illegal, and the tracker sites themselves are not illegal, hence these can be discussed. Once the conversation turns to the aspects that ARE illegel, such as copyrighter material and specific torrents, they are closed/deleted. This policy is in place to prevent a few from spoiling what Tech-Forums is and will be, as well as to protect tech-Forums from lawsuits over copyrighted materials.

| Re: Torrents It is a delicate subject, Luke. The client is not illegal, using a torrent is not illegal, and even the location itself is not illegal. It is the (sometimes) content that is illegal. Legal content is available on even private tracker sites. Of course there is a lot more illegal content there as well. It is the discussion of the illegal that is prohibited.
