I use Google out of habit and because I have always thought it is the best search engine. I’ve never objectively tried to compare major search engines and as a result I haven’t changed.
Blind Search allows you to compare the results of Google, Bing and Yahoo. You search for a term in it, and it brings up all 3 results side-by-side, but you are not told which site is which. You then say which you think is better, and the names are then revealed!
After using the site a dozen or so times, a clear image of what is the best search engine for you forms.

Yea i would say i use google mostly out of habit. But it's preference issues too.

I have a lot of issues with yahoo because a lot of the times when I type in the address bar it'll switch down to their search box.I HATE websites like that. If I want to use your search, I will...don't change my typing cursor there automatically without me wanting too :|

Bind is okay..haven't used it a lot though..

and ask jeeves..I know this isn't one of the 3 but I don't like them. One day (it was a holiday..can't remember which though) and they didn't have a little image beside their name like most search engines do on holidays (they done it before, so i know they do it). So dad sends them an e-mail asking why...they reply....email has a trojan attached to it. I'm like wtf, why would a search engine do that...haven't used it since (i dunno if it's even around anymore..you never here about it)

Interesting test though...mine came out being yahoo...but I'd still rather use google. Habit, I like the layout, and yahoo annoys me :|

    hi,

i wound up choosing bing and google alot more than yahoo. but i think just like wafflehammer, i use google because of habit.

it is almost second nature for me to open up a new tab and go to google. it feels like my fingers have memorized where G, O, L, E are on any keyboard anywhere.

thats weird considering that the last time i had a computer class in school, i had a friend do all my typing tests for me because i have to often look at the keyboard to choose a letter to type.

edit: i also use this sometimes ►►Gooyaglehoo.com - Searchyagle Effectivelyhoo!
