When getting traffic for your site it is best to get it by adding links to other sites. This can be done via web directories, writing articles about your site, etc.

Add fresh contents and keep getting backlinks from quality websites with high PR.

Content. If you have something the people want, the people will come. From the sounds of it, you do not - so I'd start there. Having a website full of ads is not the way to go.

Without content, you can pay Google (or any other advertiser) to false-advertise your website. So many do...I love eBay's ads ... "Looking for php tutorials? Get it on eBay! Click here."

As rule search engines gives you a lot of traffic. Just try hard.

you have to give people some type of reason to want to go to your site in the first place....no such thing as a continual stream of new people..
