|  How long does it take a search engine to start listing a website?
I started a website on Saturday and was wondering how long it takes before the site starts to show up on google and such?
I put in keywords for meta name. If that helps any.
Site is Bubblehockeyfans.com

It will take days or weeks. The real question is did you submit your site to Google, Bing and Yahoo?
there are actions that you must take to get the search engines there. They dont just scour the web looking for new sites. You have to submit your site. https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit Bing URL Submission Add your URL to Google
If you have not done that, you will never see it show up.

Yea, it could take a couple weeks before you're listed, but months before you actually start gaining rank. Based on what a search engine simulator sees there isn't much on your site to rank you. I understand that your site is under construction, so when you get to it you will want to look at including a lot of relevant text and links.

what is a sitemap?
I've updated the meta info. I'm new to this so if you guys can look at the source and tell me if it looks good for meta info that would be great.
It's showing up now but ONLY if I type in "bubble hockey fans". It doesn't show up at all if I type in "bubble hockey" and that is what I want! Guess that will happen all in due time? Bubblehockeyfans.com
