Default How do i increase my forum traffic? (from scratch)

ok, i created my forum yesterday, and i want to know how i can get posters on it, its a health forum, im trying to look for free ways if possible since i havent got any money left, so is there actually a free and effective way to get posters onto my forum?

There's a lot of ways... you can probably find guides around the internet.
Here's a few off the top of my head:
banner ads for people to put in their sigs
telling friends to tell friends
advertise in forums

Submit your site to search engines so their spiders/bots creep your forum to index it.

^66? the only ones people would go to are google,yahoo, and ask.....the others are so minimal in comparison. I'd just stick with those, no sense in wasting effort.

more links on more relevant sites will boost site / page ranking

plus its a program that does it for you, so why not? more exposure.

There is definitely no need to submit to 66 search engines. Actually there really isn't a need anymore to submit to any of the search engines because your site will get indexed and crawled as soon as you get it a few backlinks.
