| Re: Bing Versus Google You can remove the image from Bing as well. 5 Advanced Bing Tips
Use this to access Bing instead. Code: http://www.bing.com/?rb=0
That will give you Bing without the background image and make it more comparable to Google which its default is set to not have a image.

| Re: Bing Versus Google Well the reason why Bing takes longer to load the first time everyday is cause it has to cache the image. Which is something that Google doesnt have to do. Which is why every visit after is faster cause the image is already cached.
If you use iGoogle with a custom theme then they would be about the same. Since you would then have to load images on both.

| Re: Bing Versus Google Lol, what a surprise! Mak likes Live Search, then when it came out moved straight on to Bing. Never saw THAT one coming!
Seriously, I've found that I like both. But I think I'll stick with Google. Both engines are very advanced, both offer a lot of features (many identical I might add), so the whole 'well i serched with bing and found wot I couldn't in google' or vice versa thing is pretty sad.
I haven't found a single thing I can't find in one search engine that the other will find.
edit: I FULLY support google. Try searching 'tech forums' in bingandgoogle.com - Faceoff between bing & Google!

I do how much support in regards to Windows? Not just here but on all of my sites. Lets see now which Search Engine will get me answers if i need to find them in regards to a Microsoft Product and Windows?
Google or Bing?
Not google. Not unless it is already listed on a 3rd party site like this. So if i need specific answers and not just a bunch of people trying to guess and troubleshoot i guess i should go to Bing where i can get the Microsoft Knowledge Base topic and get some real answers.
I use Google. I have nothing against Google. But at the same time i prefer Bing. I can get any answer and do everything else i can with Bing. So why go to another site to do the same thing i am already doing?
Google is not the answer for everything. People have become so dependent on it that they are blind that other search engines out there do work and work well.
I have Ask, Lycos, Yahoo among other Search Engines bookmarked as well. I use them all for specific purposes. Google is not the only answer.

I was searching microsoft.com today for recommendations on SQL Maintenance Plans, but couldn't a good hit. There's one for Sql with Sharepoint but that's irrelevant to our setup.
I agree that looking up information on microsoft's site for specific error messages and configurations is ideal.
But to say google...or any competant search engine...would not get quality answers, I feel its illogical. |

| Re: Bing Versus Google The problem that I have with bing is how it's own by microsoft, therefore some of your search results will be a little biased towards microsoft. Here is an example that found this afternoon while servicing a computer OPEN OFFICE - Bing now compair with Google OPEN OFFICE - Google Search If you look at the bing results and not click on the hyperlinks, you would think that Open Office's webiste is down.
