Default Where to get started learning with Fireworks

I am a novice at this web design and have decided to teach myself how to do more than the basic crap. I've picked up a copy of Studio MX 2004 and found that I am overwhelmed with all there is to learn. Any suggestions on where to begin?

I'd like to learn how to do some neat banners then get into redoing the two websites I do the upkeep on.

Lol you remind me of me, when i first started out (not that i am an expert now) anyway when i first photoshop i mainly learned from tutorials on the net but with studio mx i have learned the best thing are instructional videos i have ones for fireworks, dreamweaver and flash mx. i suggest you buy them from www.lynda.com thats where mine are from.

If you go and look at the individual CD's thy have a few lessons that you can view as samples. I liked what I saw.
