Default wanting to know

is there a high quality converter or maker that can turn many photos or icons back to back as a .gif ? im tryin to find something that will make all my icons into one long .gif mainly for msn messenger or maybe my forum account pictures if they support .gif . Im hoping to hear a best free .gif maker and/along with/or a high quality one i would have to buy. I would greatly appreciate anything that people would recommend based on there rep. (if its not something you ur self would consider nice please dont post) thanks in advance

While I use photoshop it is not free.
I would take a look at Gimp.
GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program

^ second GIMP if you're looking for free. PS is certainly the king of graphics software, but it's very expensive too.
