| Can anyone please tell me of the existance of "affordable" software that can simply use individual sequential jpegs to create a moving picture? For instance, I am currently using Ulead Gif Animator to make time-lapse movies of the setting sun with good results. However, this program is limited to only about 60 frames of 640x480 jpegs as it is really not created for this purpose. Thanks in advance. |

| GIF does not use animated JPEG. GIF is limited to max 256 colors while jpeg goes up to millions of colors, 24 or 32 bit depth. 60 frames may be a limitation of the GIF format, not sure. apple quicktime and macromedia flash are the 2 most popular streaming animation formats. those are more suitable for your purpose. i do not know what software is used to create or edit quicktime, but macromedia's flash program is usually used to create flash. i'd start by looking in their website for more info. |

| I think this program is affordable, and may offer the tools you need. It has a 30 day trial download, if you want to test the capabilities, before you buy. http://www.coffeecup.com/firestarter/
