am new to web design
would like to know how to do rounded corners in dreamweaver

You mean rounded corners in something like a table? The easiest way to do this is create the rounded corners in photoshop/fireworks or some other program, then make a 3x3 table, put the corners in the top/right, top/left, bottom/right, bottom/left and use the middle cell to put in your text/image. This is the way i've learned to do it. Set your table background to the same color as your corners using the eyedropper and you'll have a box with rounded corners. I hope this is what you were looking for.

Or if ure using flash...

Select the rectangle tool, now look down there will be Set Corner Radius... select tht and enter the value how much round the rectangle u want to be...

you could make a table image with rounded corners in ps. save it as gif file with transparent background. then import it into dreamviewer.
Make your table in dreamviewer but with invisible border lines (set border to 0). then when you have aligned contents of the table, put the transparent table image on top of dreamviewer table.
that shoud work perfectly i guess..
