My friend who is also the head of my BF2 clan made this sig:



I know he made it on fireworks 8 but he won't tell anyone how he got the edges like that..

anyone know how he's done it?

That is a blur effect. He took the iamge and blurred it and twisted it a bit. He then put it on a transparent background and saved it as a .PNG file which keeps teh transparency.

Also he used some glow on the text. I don't like it very much (no offense) it is a bit over-beveled and has many non-relative colors all over..

Not bad. You need to go to GameRenders.com and get some real renders of Gordon. That one has bad spots by his feet and hair.

Better than your friend's one indeed . Just try applying a dark red hue on the backround (rectangle) i believe it would fit better...

I would not add more to it. That would make it overbearing and take away from the overall effect of it. It is good as is.
