How do you center a website in publisher? I know that the software doesn't give you an option to center the site... so how do i center a website? I'd assuming manipulating the hmtl, but i've tried that and instead of centering the site it throws it all the way to the right.

And ideas?

Edit: Okay i think i figured it out using this code:
</head><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="2"
width="760"align="center"><tr><td>

My question now is the width line of 760, is that 'forcing' my site to be a width of 760?

Yes, that code will make your table a set width of 760, and it will be centered on all resolutions.
But your site is not necessarily, and is most likely not, just the table, so the whole site will not just be 760.

Hope that makes sense.

What SpitWad said is right. The 'align=center' tag will center the table, and you have your table at a fixed width of 760px, but your background will still be the entire width of the person's monitor.

To bring up my old topic...

With this code: </head><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="2"
width="760"align="center"><tr><td>

It aligns my first page in the center, but will not center any of my other pages. I've even tried going through the html code to replace any </head> with the above code - but it doesn't center all of my pages. I can get my first page centered, but i need 18 some-odd other onces centered too.

Thoughts?

Are you using CSS? That would be the ideal way to center multiple pages in one swoop.

No but i guess I should. I'm not totally familiar with website design. I do have a programming background but I haven't messed with CSS before.

CSS is made surprisingly easy in DW, and probably other WYSIWYGs... I don't know anything about Publisher, though... other than you can make pamphlets with it

I'm at work right now and we have publisher here, so I'll take a look quickly and see if I can figure it out... if that is what you're using.

But yeah, if you're running Dreamweaver you barely have to know any actual CSS code to do the basics... the gui is pretty easy.

Edit: Yeah nevermind I don't feel like spending time with publisher... looks extremely barebones for websites at a first glance and I'm sure you could do better with some freeware.

I know dreamweaver had a free trial a while back, I'll see if I can use that to center the pages.
