Default PSP 8/9 or PS cs2??

I feel that it is time for a upgrade from paint so which one would you get??

I have used both, but not any time near each other, and from first impressions PSP is easier to use, but may not be the best...

(can both open PSD formats?)

(btw. I would like to do some skinning for GTR with this.)

Also what is ImageReady? - should I get it with that??

Forgot about this. I brought Photoshop CS2. Hopefully some time soon, I will be able to enter the image contest.

go with cs2..and image ready is kind like ps but it does basic 2d animation..although you can some of the work in image ready but its very dependent on ps if you want to creat some crazy graphics...

I would personally stay away from CS2 for a little while longer. It's still buggy and tends to be a system resource hog.

I find that CS works just fine. I personally use PS7 right now, but that's just personal preference.

Will the updates be free then? And what bugs? I haven't encountered any bugs. And for resources, I have plenty of RAM, and I'm not using anything else apart from mozila.
