Talking Photoshop Tutorials

Does anyone know how to do some cool stuff in photoshop? If so, post it here and tell us how you did it!

Here is mine - yes im a Photoshop Noob.

(done is Photoshop CS2)
1. Pick 2 Colors
2. Render/Clouds
3. Pixelate/Mezzotint and Choose Medium Lines
4. Blur/Radial Blur and choose a number between 60 and 100.

(done in Photoshop CS2)
1. Pick 2 Colours
2. Render/Clouds
3. Pixelate/Mezzotint and choose Medium Lines
4. Blur/Motion Blur, set to 999.

As you can see, that both of these are the same except for the last step. With the second one, i made a nice brushed metal effect by fiddling around with the colours and Mezzotint and Blur settings.

The second image i thought could be used on my forum (link in Sig)

okay to do those follow these steps:

1: Open a new document, 500x500.

Press "d" then "x" to reset your colour pallet.

Press Ctrl+Backspace to fill the document with your background colour.

Go to Filter > Render > Lens Flare and Use the default settings. Place the centre of the flare in the top left hand corner.

2:Go to Filter > Sketch > Chrome.

Settings:

Detail: 10

Smoothness: 0

3: Set the layer to lighten. Then duplicate the layer (Ctrl+j) 6 times.

4: Go to Filter > Distort > Wave. Use the default settings and click "Randomize" a couple of times. Do the same for the next 3 layers

On the seccond last layer go to Filter > Distort > Twirl.

Settings:

Angle: 150

On the last layer go to Filter > Distort > Twirl.

Settings:

Angle: -150

Then merge all the layers together (Ctrl+Shift+E)

Then press Ctrl+U and tick the Colourize box.
Settings:

Hue: 205

Saturation: 45

Lightness: 0

Then Go Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur

Settings:

Radius: 3.0

Then Go Edit > Fade Gaussian Blur (Shift+Ctrl+f).

Settings:

Opacity: 100

Mode: Overlay

And there you have it!
